“We are aware of some people having problems sending messages and we are working to restore WhatsApp as quickly as possible,” said a spokesperson for Meta Platforms, the parent company WhatsApp.

Downdetector stated that more than 11,000 users from India had reported an issue, while the numbers in the United Kingdom were at 68,000 and 19,000 respectively for Singapore as of 0750 GMT.
