Western Union may be expanding its digital offerings to go beyond remittances.
Western Union According to trademark applications filed last week by the company, (NYSE:) may be considering offering crypto-related services. This is the latest attempt by the company to enter the cryptoverse. It has not had much success thus far.
On October 18, Western Union filed three trademark applications. Mike Kondoudis (market attorney) stated that the applications cover activities such as managing wallets, exchanging digital asset and commodities derivatives and issuing tokens. He also explains that brokerage and insurance services are covered.
