PORT-AUPRINCE (Stocksak). A well-known Haitian journalist is now in stable condition following an assassination attempt on Tuesday. His car was stuffed with bullets, according to a director at the radio station where it was he works.
Roberson Alphonse is a morning show host on radio station Magik9 and was driving to work when he was attacked by more than a dozen gunmen. According to newspaper Le Nouvelliste where Alphonse also works, the attack took place.
“I just spoke to Roberson Alphonse following his tenth operation,” Magik9 Director Frantz duval wrote on Twitter. He is stable.
It was not immediately known who was responsible.
The Haitian National Police did not immediately respond when we asked for comment.
