SAO PAULO (Stocksak). Brazilian pulpmaker Suzano SA announced Monday that it had reached a deal with Kimberly-Clark (NYSE) to purchase its tissue paper operations in Brazil.

Suzano indicated that the main asset of the deal was a tissue manufacturing plant in Sao Paulo. The unit can produce approximately 130,000 tonnes per year.

Suzano’s new company will manage the assets, distribute and manufacture the tissue products like paper towels and napkins.

Although the firm did not disclose the deal’s value, it stated that it has not had a significant effect on its level of indebtedness.
