(Stocksak) – Billionaire Elon Musk said in a tweet on Sunday pushed back by a month the date for Neuralink’s “show & tell” event to Nov. 30 and did not provide further information.
In August, SpaceX and Tesla (NASDAQ:) Inc’s chief executive said that the event would take place on October 31.
Incorporated by Musk in 2016, San Francisco-based Neuralink hopes to implant wireless brain computers chips to treat neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, and spinal cord injuries. It also aims to fuse humankind and artificial intelligence.
Musk stated in a 2019 presentation, that Neuralink was looking to get regulatory approval for trials to implant chips into human beings by 2020. However, the company has yet receive such approval or to bring a product on the market.
Musk approached Synchron Inc, a brain chip implant developer, about a potential investment. He expressed frustration with Neuralink employees regarding their slow progress in winning regulatory clearance for their devices.
