By Stocksak: Lebanese president signs a deal to draw a maritime border with Israel

BEIRUT (Stocksak) – Lebanon’s President Michel Aoun signed a letter approving a landmark U.S.-brokered deal laying out his country’s maritime boundary with Israel on Thursday, its top negotiator told reporters.

Elias Bou Saab spoke from the presidential palace and said that it marked a new era. He also stated that the letter would be submitted later Thursday to U.S. authorities at Naqoura’s southernmost border point.
