Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
The added 0.67% was at its highest point for a 1-month period at the Tokyo close.
Denka Co Ltd (TYO) was the best performer of the session, rising 6.37% or 205.00 point to trade at 3,425.00 at close. Meanwhile, T&D Holdings, Inc. (TYO) added 3.73%, or 52.00 points, to end at 1,445.00 Rakuten Inc (TYO) was up 3.38% or 22.00 point to 672.00 late trade.
The session’s worst performers were NTN Corp. (TYO): The close fell 3.80%, or 10.00 points, to trade at 253.00 Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (TYO): The decline of 3.22% (100.00 points) has brought the total to 3,010.00 Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (TYO:) fell 3.01% or 75.00 points to 2,384.00.
Stocks that are rising outnumbered those that are falling on the Tokyo Stock Exchange were 2201 to 1272, and 300 ended unchanged.

Crude oil was $0.92 lower at $84.40 a barrel for December delivery. Brent oil for January delivery fell 1.24%, or 1.14, to $90.60 per barrel. Meanwhile, the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.8%, or 14.65, to trade at $1.672.65 an ounce.
USD/JPY fell 0.34% to 147.40, while EUR/JPY rose 0.6% to 147.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.4% at 110.32.
