Dow Futures Trade Lower, Amazon Tanks 12.7% Following Earnings From

By Oliver Gray – U.S. stock futures fell during Thursday’s evening trade, after major benchmark indices finished the regular session mixed as investors digested a slew of earnings results from major technology companies.

At 7:10 PM ET (11:10 GMT), the market was down 0.1%, 0.5%, 0.7%.

In extended deals, Inc (NASDAQ:) shed 12.7% after the company Q3 EPS of $0.28, above expectations of $0.22, while revenue came in at $127.1 billion versus $127.76 billion expected. Amazon expects Q4 2022 revenue to be $140-148 billion, which is higher than the $155.1 billion expected.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ) saw 0.7% increase in EPS after Q4 of $1.29, versus $1.26 expected, while revenue was $90.1 billion versus $88.76 million expected.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ 🙂 gained 5.5% following Q3 EPS at $0.59. This was higher than $0.34 expected and revenue was reported as $15.3 billion, versus $15.43billion.

Pinterest Inc (NYSE: ) rose 9.6% after the company’s Q3 EPS was $0.11, surpassing expectations of $0.06. Revenue reached $685 million, which was higher than the $665.54 million anticipated.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:) increased 5.1% after Q3EPS of $4.01 versus 3.62 expected on revenues $2.33 billion versus 2.22 billion.

Gilead Sciences Inc (NASDAQ: ) increased 3.6% after Q3EPS of $1.90. This beat $1.52 expected and revenue was $7 billion compared to $6.13 billion.

Ahead in Friday’s session, market participants will be looking towards , and s data as well as earnings results from Chevron Corp (NYSE:) Exxon Mobil Corp (NYSE 🙂 and Colgate-Palmolive Company(NYSE :).

During Thursday’s regular session, the lifted 194.2 points or 0.6% to 32,033.3, the fell 23.3 points or 0.6% to 3,807.3 and the lost 178.3 points or 1.6% to 10,792.7.

Rates on the bond market were at 3.927%.
