Investing.com – Canadian National Railway reported Tuesday that the third quarter beat analysts’ predictions and that revenue exceeded expectations.

Canadian National Railway reported earnings per sen at C$2.13 per share on revenue of C$4.51. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS of C$2.00 for revenue of C$4.32B.

Canadian National Railway shares have fallen 37% since the beginning of the year. However, they are still down 15.81% from their 52-week high of C$137.19 on March 30.

After-hours trade saw Canadian National Railway shares lose 2.61% following the report.

Canadian National Railway’s report comes after United Parcel Service beat them on Tuesday with EPS of C$2.99 for revenue of C$24.2B. Forecasts were for EPS C$2.86 on revenue C$24.4B.

Raytheon Technologies exceeded expectations on Tuesday, posting a third quarter EPS (C$1.21) on revenue C$17B. This was compared to EPS (C$1.14) on revenue C$17.31B.
