Investing.com – Australia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The session’s best performers were Credit Corp Group Ltd (ASX) saw a 7.90% increase, or 1.35 points, to trade at 18.43 at close. Meanwhile, Austal Ltd (ASX.:) gained 5.33%, or 0.12 points, to end at 2.37. Nine Entertainment Co Holdings Ltd. (ASX.:) was up 5.2% or 0.11 to 2.08 in late-trade.
The session’s worst performers were Reliance Worldwide Corporation Ltd (ASX:), fell 13.37% or 0.48 point to trade at 3.11 at closing Ampol Ltd (ASX 🙂 fell 12.56% or 3.93 point to end at 27,35. Whitehaven Coal Ltd. (ASX 🙂 was down 4.52% (0.49 points) to 10.36.
On the Sydney Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered advancing by 672 compared to 617. 365 was unchanged.

AUD/USD was unchanged at 0.63, while AUD/JPY rose 0.2% to 94.18.
